Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Discord bots and related services operated by Valithor Obsidion (“ValZarGaming”, “we”, “us”) — including Civilizationbot, PS13-Bot, and any other bot published under the same Discord developer account (each, a “Bot”). By adding a Bot to a Discord server, or by using its commands or features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not add or use the Bot.
1. What the Bots do
The Bots provide community and game-server tooling for the communities that install them: server status and monitoring, player verification and role assignment, chat moderation and relay, ban management synchronized with connected game servers, and slash / message commands. Features vary per Bot and per server configuration.
2. Who is responsible for what
- Server administrators who add a Bot choose which features to enable and how to configure moderation, verification, and relay. They are responsible for those choices and for informing their members that a Bot is in use.
- You are responsible for your own use of a Bot’s commands and for complying with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- We operate the Bots and the infrastructure they run on, and handle data as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use a Bot to break the law, or to harass, defraud, or harm others;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorized access to a Bot or its hosting;
- use a Bot to evade a ban, moderation action, or verification requirement on a connected community or game server;
- resell, sublicense, or present a Bot or its output as your own service.
The bot source code is separately licensed as open source (MIT) on GitHub; these Terms cover the hosted instances we operate, not your own self-hosted copy.
4. Availability and changes
The Bots are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature or an entire Bot at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uptime, and Discord API changes or outages are outside our control.
5. Termination
A server administrator can remove a Bot at any time. We may remove a Bot from a server, or block a user or server from using our Bots, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or that continued access poses a risk to Discord, to a connected community, or to us.
6. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bots are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that moderation or verification results are complete or accurate.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ValZarGaming and Valithor Obsidion will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, access, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use a Bot. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Bots will not exceed USD 100.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Effective” date above changes when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page or announced where practical. Continued use of a Bot after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence.
